We realize that selecting an Eating Disorder Treatment Center can be challenging and overwhelming. We want to assure you that our caring team is highly committed to welcoming you and supporting you during your recovery.
You can have confidence in your decision to recover at Canopy Cove. Here are three factors that have been fundamental to our program’s success.
One: We use evidence based techniques which have been proven to be effective in treating eating disorders.
Two: We utilize an interdisciplinary approach with close collaboration among the medical, clinical and support staff. We also maintain a smaller group size which provides a higher ratio of therapists to clients and fosters an environment of trust.
Three: Each Client receives a customized treatment protocol. As part of the admission process, each new resident has a detailed evaluation by members of our multi-disciplinary eating disorder treatment team. This information is used to ensure that the most effective treatment protocol is used.
The multi-disciplinary team includes:
• Primary Therapist
• Family Therapist
• Psychiatrist (MD)
• Internal Medicine Physician (MD)
• Registered Dietician (RD)
• Eating Disorders Specialist

Research has found that a cold, sterile setting can be off-putting for some patients, and even frightening for others. At Center for Change we know that a safe, warm, home-like environment helps patients feel more comfortable as they engage in the hard work of fighting the eating disorder.
Founded in 1994, by a team of psychologists and a physician with much history together, Center for Change began its mission to heal women from the inside out. The message of “hope is real” can be found woven through the entirety of the treatment experience. Our specially selected experts are committed to helping each girl or woman get back their life and restore a sense of freedom that may have been absent for far too long.

The River Centre Clinic (RCC) has almost two decades of experience providing innovative treatment to adults and adolescents suffering from eating disorders. Our ground-breaking approach to treatment, based on extensive experience and research, is designed to reduce costs without compromising our high quality of care. We pride ourselves in being just the right size – not too large so that patients risk becoming lost in the mix or too small where the critical mass of staff expertise can be lacking. We have been pioneers in developing a now well-established therapy model that integrates individual, group, and family therapy. This model is linked to evidence-based treatment principles and has proven effective in helping program participants achieve symptom control and resolve the range of psychological concerns linked to the development and maintenance of eating disorders. The RCC multidisciplinary staff is committed to providing specialized psychological and educational treatments in a safe and respectful setting. Our treatment representing medicine, nursing, psychology, social work, dietetics and other specialties is dedicated to helping women and men who suffer from eating disorders reclaim their lives and begin the journey toward lifelong health. The RCC is located in a modern, spacious and tranquil setting in Sylvania Ohio, an historic suburb of Toledo, Ohio, and is designed to provide an attractive and safe alternative to hospital or hospital-based programs. For more than 30 years, Rader Programs has been a leader in providing clinical treatment programs to individuals struggling with deadly eating disorders. We understand the severity and complexity of eating disorders like anorexia nervosa, bulimia, food addiction, compulsive overeating disorder, orthorexia and night eating syndrome. It’s our core belief that it is often impossible for individuals to achieve lasting recovery without confronting the underlying causes of their eating disorder. However, we know from experience that even the most severe cases of eating disorders can be successfully treated.
We recognize the complexity of eating disorders and therefore understand the need to treat the medical, psychological, physical and nutritional aspects of all eating disorders. To that end, our multidisciplinary staff works around the clock to ensure that each individual gets the help that they need. Our treatment team is made up of physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, dietitians, exercise counselors, family counselors and nurses who are all dedicated to helping individuals achieve transformative results.
We want to help each patient build a better life. A life in which they can learn to love and respect themselves, replace negative behaviors with healthy ones and can forge strong and lasting bonds with loved ones.

Mission & History
Our mission is to provide effective treatment services and a safe, sober living environment to women suffering from the disease of alcoholism or who are addicted to alcohol and other drugs and to introduce them to the philosophy of Alcoholics Anonymous and the 12-Step process.
Casa Serena opened its doors to alcoholic women in August of 1959 primarily through the efforts of our founder Mildred Pinheiro. Recovering from alcoholism herself, Mildred wanted to open the home “because there was no place here for a woman alcoholic to go for help.” Casa Serena was originally a project of the National Council on Alcoholism, but became a separate 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit corporation in 1973.
Castlewood offers a team of specialists, each with different skills, including therapists who have sub-specialties. Our mission is not merely to churn out weight-restored clients who look healthy to others, but whose internal wounds are identified and addressed. Experience has taught us that the full measure of health rests on more than a temporary absence of symptoms. We are entirely focused on ensuring a complete and enduring state of wholeness, following whatever path is most appropriate for you.
