    The treatment at this facility is evidenced-based and includes but is not limited to: Motivational Enhancement Therapy, Twelve Step Facilitation, Matrix Model, and Stephanie Covington’s Trauma Model. Incorporating an evidenced-based clinical program with participation in Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous; a person learns self-esteem, honesty, hope, and responsibility for one’s own actions; as well as develops spiritual growth by developing a relationship with a Power greater than them. There is a short inspirational reading before breakfast. After breakfast, each person does chores assigned to him/her. All clients then attend classes/groups which are held four times daily. Therapy includes educational lectures, group therapy, gender groups, recreation, and individual counseling sessions. Each client has daily homework from information presented in the group sessions. Everyone attends two in-house AA/NA meetings and four outside AA/NA meetings weekly. Family Education sessions are offered during visitation on Sundays. Family therapy sessions are offered to each client upon request. The clinical staff must be Licensed, Certified, or registered with the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board. Many of the staff are in recovery from addictions. All staff members are very dedicated to helping others recover from the disease of addiction.
