Mission Statement
"The Cottages" men's sober living facility is committed to providing a safe, clean and healthy sober environment for men in all phases of recovery from alcoholism and/or drug addiction.
Fantastic Location:
Big Bear Lake is just 90 minutes from Los Angeles and 45 minutes from San Bernardino.
At an elevation of 6.700 feet the air is clean and filled with the scent of Pine, Spruce and Fir Trees.
The forested lake area offers Water sports, fishing, Mountain biking & Hiking in the summer, skiing and snow boarding in the winter.
The Cottages are less than 1 block from the Lake, two blocks from village shopping & dining, close to meetings and an outpatient treatment facility.
Facility Description
- The facility consists of 4 individual cottages each one approximately 420 Square Feet
- Each Cottage has a complete Kitchen, 1 full bath, dinning nook and a 12 X 12 room with 2 bunk beds and 4 dressers
- Gas, Electric & Water are provided
- Basic sundries, towels and bedding
- Beds are $350/month or $100/week paid in advance
Amenities:
Common Room, TV, Washer Dryer, Internet access, weight lifting, Horse Shoes, Punching Bag, BBQ and Picnic Benches
House Rules
- Must be actively engaged in local recovery community -
- Minimum 3-7 meetings per week depending on phase of Recovery
- Have a Sponsor
- Must be self supporting, employed, seeking employment or have verifiable income
- Must be respectful of others
- Must participate and support in the creation of a safe, clean & healthy environment
- No Drugs or Alcohol anywhere on the premises
- No using or being under the influence of drugs or alcohol on the premises
- No stealing or unauthorized use of another persons possessions, food or sundries
- No disrespecting or destroying property
- No swearing, cursing, loud or obnoxious behavior
- No unauthorized or undesirable visitors
- No hanging out all day and doing nothing
