I keep seeing this ad for Passages at Malibu and I get a little aggravated when he implies that "This is not a 12 step program, this works".  Plus when he says he used to be an addict but now he's not.

My take on it is this.  I'm an alcoholic in recovery.  I was once an alcoholic that drank and now I don't.  What's your take on whether you are still an addict/alcoholic even when you aren't an active useer?

I've emailed them on this and to date have not rec'd a reply.  I think the 12 step program obviously has helped millions.

today is the next step in the journey......paw

They are not going to change their ad because someone tells them their information is false.  They are too busy collecting peoples money to stay at a luxury place.

Once your an alcoholic/addict, you don't quit being one.  I am a recovering alcoholic.  It only takes one drink to get me right back to where I was.  That Is why I tell people try something new, try changing because you can always go back to your drinking/using.  Problem is.....some people don't put very much effort into themselves!

You see retarded ads all the time.  Especially alcohol ads.  What are you going to do to change it?
