Goodmorning everyone! stopping in to say hey, hoping all are well and taking life's journey "one day at a time"!We are all well and have been very busy getting ready for our next major change in our lives. We were so blessed to find a 2 bedroom house for rent on 9.5 acres of land, next to a farm with roosters, horses,a big fishing pond and hunting area that landlady allows. For me its 7th heaven(hear that right Paw)my wife is a little nervous about snakes and critters but we have lived in woods way back early in our marriage. It was definitely God's providence that brought us here.We were like 1 day away from putting a deposit on an apartment complex as we just couldn't anything we liked or affordable. After 23 years in our own home, apartment living with me as a drummer(like the plague)a hunter and a semi loner I was resigned to do what we had to. Check this out the mother is very hard of hearing her daughter said and drums will be no problem!!!!A friend at work said she was looking at place but she has a large family and needed 3 bedrooms, this only has 2.She said check it out. There are 3 houses on the land. The landladies mother lives in a big house about a hundred yards away and a couple live in a smaller house about 75 yards away.Ideal so my wife doesn't feel afraid during the evenings I'm out at meetings or commitments. She likes it,Originally she didn't want pets ,but said we could have our 2 cats,Missy and Alfie.Eric is moving out to assisted living housing and things are settling somewhat. The only interesting situation is we still aren't exactly sure when our house closing is.We believe it will be early or mid july.We had to pay landlady for 1st of July for the house. She did write in the lease if our home sale for some reason falls through she will give us our security back but have to keep rent.More than fair.We are stepping out on faith and I am sure God didn't bring us this far to have these plans fall through. If so then that be His will.Let me see,I'm still very active in Narcotics Anonymous,Naranon and my church.Just joined a band again and am going to see if any chemistry there,I am monitoring my time away from home as to ensure I am keeping a healthy balance in my life with my wife and family(you know that obsessive /compulsive thing we got)Anyway,I am praying and thinking of you all.Paw hope everything going okay,Ann hope Dad is okay ,celebrate fathers day tomorrow,Clint ,whats up my friend haven't heard from you in awhile,Keith haven't seen your daily posts as much anymore, hope your well. Thanks everyone for keeping our "home away from home" alive for us and those reaching out for others who may be able to offer some encouragement ,experience strength and hope.To all here ,I wish you peace in your journey ,talk with you on the rebound.Commander Cody signing off..Have a blessed and productive day!

Hello there!
Good Morning to you as well! I am glad you will be renting a place you can enjoy! Sounds like things are going well for your family.
Dad's cancer is 90% gone! He is still doing well. He still will have to get treatments for his back though.
Have a great Father's Day tomorrow! Doing anything with the kids?
Peace be with you!
Ann
today is the next step in the journey......paw
Hello all!
Mike -- I understand exactly where you are! A lot of change, huh? I moved out of my apartment in May and moved in with my parents here in the same area of Texas. In the meantime, June 11, I bought a home in Louisiana, about five hours from here. I am starting school there in August, but keeping my job here in Texas to have income. The house, is great, but requires work. Built in the early 50s, needs painting, and remodeling in the bathroom and the kitchen. This is my summer job, and I am working in Louisiana on the house during the weekends, but staying in Texas during the week. This weekend I have to take a Civil Service Exam in LA, and then meeting the parents to help out again on the house in Baton Rouge. Being grateful, I am spending a lot of quality time with my parents. Each and every night, which is something I haven't done in a while. In my room at the parents, I don't even have a television, so it makes it even ten times more relaxing, because I am getting caught up on a lot of much needed sleep.
Ann -- wonderful to hear about your dad. Can't tell you how often you cross my mind, and I wonder how he is doing. Keep me posted on everything -- even if it is through FB.
Paw -- I'll drop you a line soon. Maybe send you some pictures to show you the progress. It is like an amateur version of HGTV!
I hope this finds you all doing well. Keep in touch! Clint
