When I first came into recovery I was told to write down what I would like to do . One of the things I put down was to learn how to play the guitar. Last year I played infront of a group of people at the Belgium Convention, I was shaking and filled with fear but something gave me the courage to do it and I did. There where eight things on the list, things that I would have only dreamed of doing . Nine years in recovery and I have managed to tick off four things from the list Fear was my biggest enamy and low self worth but that was removed by all the beautiful people that fill my life today. PLEASE dont give up your dreams and dont die with the music still inside you.

I posted two of my songs on youtube                            ADDICTION LAND  and   GTA Plastic Jesus

Thank you for the great reply's

We got to keep ourselves busy.My love of music has led me to try and learn all sorts of instruments, Bag Pipes, Banjo, Trumpet, Violin, Piano with very little success over the years but guess what , I loved it and it kept me Clean and sober. Boredom is where my stinking thinking takes root and grow's into killing time, Today my life in recovery is more productive, I have a greater respect for this day that has been given to me.

Someone once told me that recovery is to be enjoyed not endured. Have a great sober 24
