My daughter is on her thirs rehab in3 years. She "seems" to want to be sober this time around. After rehab she wants to go to a sober living house. Any suggestions in Conneticut, Vermont or Massachusettes areas?

Hi welcome to the site.  We have a directory on the site here.  Do you attend any Alanon or Naranon meetings for youself?  If so I'm sure someone there would have some information for you.  And of course there's Googling, which is the best I can offer.  I personally have no knowledge, but wanted to take a moment and welcome you.  Let us know how it goes with her this time.  Hopefully she'll want it.

today is the next step in the journey......paw

Welcome to the site.  From my own experience, the counselors at the drug treatment facility would be able to assist her.  Like PAW, I have no knowledge of sober living environments.  When I got sober, I went to treatment, and then did outpatient aftercare while living with my parents.  That worked for me, but as you'll learn, many of us have different stories and ways to get sober.  All my best to you.

My son was in a Sober Living environment in Florda. What I have heard is that there are some really great ones and some terrible ones that just collect the rent. When you do find one, I suggest you do a some research on the staff, find out the expections of the residents, make sure there are counselors living on the premises, are meeting required, etc.  My son was in one for a day and we new immediately it was a bad situation. I have talked to others that had the same experience. So be sure to investigate!
