Hello my friends!!
We have just finished praying for guidance as we found out our son is back to shooting dope and robbed our account again.As some previous posts had suggested WE FELT something was up it turned out to be 'RELAPSE".Though this is part of some peoples recovery the attitudes and behaviors that accompany it can and will not be tolerated in our household.After a few hours of debate between my wife and I we decided that he must leave our house (we are giving him till monday(although this was hotly debated.He must pay us back from his paychecks each 2 weeks(this also is something that will really be determined by his condition)He has all the tools,knowlege of program,medicaid doctors ,suboxene therapy(that he chose to stop to shoot dope)He has schedules set up for weekly therapy for his depression(which will probably not be enhanced by this situation)but we know that we are not helping him and we cannot or will not continue a life such as this.I will also not let this jeopardize my recovery and the sanity of my family.We hotly debated putting him in jail but again chose to put him out instead.We realize some things we are doing are not textbook follow ups but we are putting our trust in our God to continue to guide us thru this heartbreaking experience.I know my family here ON SITE will hold us up in prayer and continue to support us in this trying period..Man I seen it comin a mile way and could do nothing.Our 1st step 'WE ADMITTED WE WERE POWERLESS OVER OUR ADDICT,OUR LIFE HAD BECOME UNMANAGEABLE (NARANON)Thanks for listening,i'll be back when I can.I have been in contact with my sponsor and making Naranon meeting tomorrow.As always I wish you peace

Mike, I am so sorry that he chose to do this. Relapse is a part of some people's recovery, but you always pray it doesn't happen to you and yours. I'm here if you want to vent. Just let me know or email me. You and your family are in my thoughts.

Sorry to hear about your son! You are doing the right thing by going to meetings and talking to your sponsor. Take care of yourself and your family. As always, we are hear if you want to talk. Patience will lead to peace. Trust in your higher power!
