I wrote this poem for a friend of mine and he asked me to post it on this site..so here it goes..
"look at you now"
look at you now
so different from before
your not the same man
who walked through my door
you were shamed and broken
with nothing to give
used to talk about dying
didnt want to live
came with no hope
had so little pride
you slowly revealed
your intimate side
buried for so long
in your depth of despair
forgot who you were
thought noone wpuld care
standing tall and proud
looked up to by many
standing out in a crowd
the road before you is long
but you'll make it somehow
have faith in yourself
cause look at you now

hi Ann, its nice to meet you. Im glad that you liked it. i wrote it to a friend and i guess it hit home with the guys that are in his rehab......i just wrote what i saw but im happy that it touched someone other than him, its always nice to reach people. Donna

It absolutely is nice when people notice. Just does a human good to be recognized once in awhile.
That Poem was worth reading. It speaks to all of us who have been at deaths door and were given that chance to turn around and become good human doings. We cherish friendship and to take the time to write a poem for a friend is true love and companionship. Yes Paw we do like to be noticed once in awhile. Being part of the human race and not just skirting around the sides is something most of us learn to put an effort into. Man we sure do know how to isolate and turn people away. My gift from Creator today is realizing I don't have to do this alone anymore. As long as I reach out someone will be there on the other side. Just as we are here on this site. Never alone.
