WARNING-
My Place 1038 nw 7th Street is allegedly a three quarter way house that "cares". What they care about is the almighty dollar and after being THROWN OUT for yes, using the so called Director-Jeff Daley discarded all of my personal belongings, including 5000 worth of clothing, degree, thesis, portfolio, passport-stated "I took them with me". This is a lie and the place needs to be closed down.
I am planning to submit a formal complaint to the appropriate Florida authorities.

The post above comes from someone who was backer acted the same day he was thrown out! I don't think it's not right for people in our community to bash "recovery" facilities because of our own problems.
My Place has the most caring stay I have ever met and I swear by that. I have seen first hand and had the pleasure of being a house manager, they helped me get my own place and I still talk to Jeff the director when ever i feel like using.
I'll I have to say is thank you My Place and I know you helped me!

I agree with John, My Place has done wonders for many! I know because I went throught the whole program with someproblems but only bc they where my fault. My Place cares vary much bc I know they cared for me and was there when I needed it most.

I agree. I had a terrible experience at Myplace. There were drugs on the premises which was reported to the owner who did nothing in response. Also, the air conditioning was broken in 98 degree heat and the refrigerator was not working properly. What was the worst part for me was that they required payment before I reached the facility and I, naive as I was, agreed. I was later told that it was non-refundable after leaving due to the living conditions. I have submitted a complaint with the better business bureau.
I had a great experience there(And still live here)! I think the old management didn’t have it down like their new management company and the way they operate. They have a great group of people living here and most have been here for 6months or longer….The problem is most people don’t like to take account for their own issues. I know I have/had a $ problem and I was able to work through it with the help of My Place. Out of all the other crappy ones iv been to this had the most stable management yet!
