Sounds good to me.  Bow season here starts next month sometime around the 15th.  Had triplets in the yard tonight for awhile.  They tickle me how they just jump and run full speed, then stop on a dime and leave you nine cents in change.  Little pot bellies and still eatin'.

Well I had the truck gone through, put new tires on it, then had to get a headlamp, so it's all caught up.

The boy got all the classes he wanted and starts next week.  Driver's Ed finishes up friday then he has the driving part of it to do.  Got a lead on a car.  Two actually, one is GM though and that'll be the first I look at.  The other is a Tojo and hubby would be spinning in the grave if I titled foreign, but it's a good ride none the less.

Got a new battery for the lawn tractor and now I can't get it to turn over.  All it wants to do is grind so I called my brother to come have a look at it.  Almost to the point of making bales out of it.  I just never realized just how much I relied on Norm for little things.  The water tank needs to be bled, the faucet in the bathroom is leaking.  Got it stopped twice by cleaning it, but it's not working now.

Oh well I'm rambling now.  I'm so glad you're content.  Sounds like the good life.  And the in laws coming up is fantastic.  It's great to sit out on a cool night, with good company, a fire in the half barrel, some cheese/crackers, and a good lemonade...."The Life of Riley"....does that date 'ya or not???  Oh and good luck on that Boone & Crockett.....

today is the next step in the journey......paw

Hi there,

Sounds like you two and families are doing well, except for the lawn tractor, from just what I know about  both of you, you deserve happiness. I am doing well also and for that I am grateful. I am glad to be away from the clutches of addiction, I never thought I could be so contented with not drinking. Now I am working on reclaiming my health which has been extremely neglected. I have recently started walking and I'm taking to it like a cold hog to warm mud. My young border collie, Bandit, is also delighted with this turn of events. I put on some tunes or a audio book and away we go, it's been about 2 weeks and the hills are getting easier all the time. Today I logged 8 miles and Bandit  with the back and forth, must have achieved 24. I am also grateful for this online family, you have been a Godsend and I thank all of you. God Bless ~ MichaelJ

Glad to hear it Michael.  The pups love it when we get them out and play.  I really don't want any more pets.  The boy wants a cat and although I've never been fond of them I'm not willing to get 'stuck' with it when he decides to 'move out.'

Some of us here on site have really struck up a nice friendship even though we've not met face to face, there is still a lot in common to talk about other than our addictions.  And that's a wonderful feeling.  For me at least, I feel great knowing that there are people that I can relate my recovery feelings and still have a place for sharing my life's events.

After the tractor got the battery, the throttle was sticking so my precious brother, I love him so, fixed that yesterday and the yard got cut down.  Wow, what a mess.  Bad deal when it's been growing for about a month.  Especially since the house is about 300 yds from a main creek and there are spring heads all over the place.  Doesn't dry out very often.  Took 2 fills on the tank where it usually takes a little less than one.  But it's done for a few days anyway.

Michael, stop back and share more with us when you can and when you want.  The regulars on here are awesome people.  I've been on here a long time and have watched them come and go but the ones that have hung around have some wise words to share.

Have a great week and a wonderful holiday weekend coming up.  Say a prayer for our men and women in uniform.  Those that fought to get our freedom and those that have kept it for us.

today is the next step in the journey......paw

Hey Michael! good to hear from you...Yes living in recovery, one day at a time is a blessing...We are starting to settle in now also...Good job with keeping active, gives you an opportunity to do some great meditating and serene time for yourself.I also have been getting back into racing shape(marathon running) I Let things get out of hand for awhile and glad to be back training.I find much peace and serenity in long runs and find quality time with my Higher Power, plus my pants fit better:):)..........Thanks for being part of our support and for sharing you ESH with others.Thats how we do it,one helping another in a loving and caring manner..Only by the grace of God(the unmerited favor bestowed upon us)are we continuing life sober/clean and free from active addiction finding a "new way to live"!!
