CoolHope everyone is well and staying in the day!.Things moving along here with my posse. We have another scheduled open house coming up on the 14 of this month.Been very slow but in Gods time.We have been going to court for Eric's last charge and got quite a surprise this last tuesday(my wifes birthday)The lawyers and the FDA were working on a 'conditional discharged based on Eric completing the 2 year intensive program that he has been attending for last almost 2 months and then possibly dropping charges. He has been doing very well, making NA meetings with me,doing well in his intensive care programs and staying clean..Just as judge called his name,DA says detectives wanted to talk with him, pulled him in back room and Just as I figured ,out  he comes in handcuffs, rearrested for charges that happened back when he was first arrested in november.Girl he was doing store robberies with, she the driver, him the their ,turned dime on him as she is in jail now facing 14 months in prison..The lawyer said that he will take the case added to the other case instead of public defender on one and lawyer on other.BECAUSE THESE CHARGES WERE BEFORE he got clean again and was working a program we prayed about it and decided that jail ,for now, wasnt the best place for his recovery. My wifes girlfriend helped with bail money until court makes final decision.Lawyer said that he is going to plead it was before Eic was clean and working as he has been.We do not know and he may go back to jail for a period. It was obviously not my wifes best birthday but we have turned it over to our Higher Power.Court date is Feb 9th so we'll see whats going on..Eric was very mad at the girl but I explained to him ,and he is aware that any resentments he keeps will only keep him sick, that there is no honor among thieves and if he did the crime he may have to do the time. There is a plan in Gods time for this and we'll have to wait on Him to see .I have been attending and sharing anniversaries with friends from my programs both  NA and Naranon and Eric and I have been making meetings around town for awhile.I know this a a """long story"' but I to share it with you as it keeps me healthy and in the "solution".I pray all is well with everyone(Ann,.Keith.CLINT.PAT,Michael,etc)Great job on helping with 4th step work for person who needed to start work there. The freedom that comes from 4/5 is awe inspiring.Well talk to you all on the rebound.Stay in the day, keep turning it over and have a blessed and productive day!!Cool

MikeF, always good to hear from you.  You and your wife not only have to be very proud of Eric, but it sounds like you're building a great relationship.  That's a great feeling too.

It's now past the 'down in the dumps' time of the year for me.  For me at least, whoever said, "Time heals all wounds" sure couldn't have lost anyone close.  It get tolerable but never healed.  So I pick up the rest of the year.

We're waiting to see if the boy gets a government grant to go to the college he wants.  Shows up everyday, good grades, no meds in a couple of years and the greatest thing is his laughter.  Never thought in a million years that he would be happy enough to laugh.  He's worked hard to get where he is.  I'm a proud Wawa.....

So I, like MikeF hope all are doing well.  Clint, get well soon.  Ann, haven't talked to you for a few days.  Hope the move is going ok and that your Dad is doing well.  Michael, as always, hang in there.

today is the next step in the journey......paw

Thanks for keeping us updated, MikeF.  This week I had wondered what was going on with you and yours.  Let us know how everything turns out.

I am getting better, PAT.  Hopefully just a short bug.  Cold-like, flu-like symptoms, and slept for most of the day.  Going to try to go back to work tomorrow morning, bright and early.  Hope you are well too.  XO.

Hello Everyone!

Seems like everyone is doing well, except for Clinton being sick.  Hope all of you are okay!  I don't want to move again for a long time!!  We are all moved in now!  Just in time because the debris basin overflowed the road again on Saturday, Feb.6th.  For those of you that don't know, we were renting a house in an area where the "Station Fire" was, and they are having problems with rain and mud and rocks going on the road.  Glad all of our stuff is out of there!

Dad is still doing treatment to build his back bone back up.  He will have to continue to do this until all of the cancer is gone.  He goes to Los Angeles twice a week now.  We moved an hour away, but my mom takes him.

Glad they are considering the stuff Eric is already doing.  Hope everything turned out well today Mike!

When does he start school PAW?  I will talk to you later.

How is everyone else doing?  I haven't been able to talk to anyone for two weeks!

Peace be with all of you!  Have a good week!

Ann

Right now schools have been closed all week and with another foot or so due through the overnight, he may not go the rest of the week.

He did not get picked for the school he wanted to go to so I guess he's going to enroll in the Junior College here.  When I told him I was sorry he didn't get it, he told me he really wasn't expecting it.  Seems to be handling it well although that's the way he always seems to handle stuff.

Clint glad you're getting better.  Ann, glad you're moved and Dad is ok.  Mike, all I can say is hang in there.  Lot on your plate.

I'm back to good health, thankfully.  Just a sinus infection, but you know how miserable that is...

Ann, good to hear everything about your move and father.  I think of you often.

Pat, junior college is a good move!  Saves a lot of money, and then he can decide what he is interested in doing.  How old is he, by the way?  I think of Z as being 14 or so.  I guess we've known each other for over five years now, so he has grown.

Mike, hang in there.

Clint
