Hey...
I am in need of sober housing after detox and need to stay in the area as I'll be attending outpatient treatment. I have a cat which I can't leave behind. Does anyone know of such a place ??
Hi sqrepg, and welcome to the site. Good work on getting detoxed and looking forward to recovery. Did you by chance check at detox with people or a counselor to see if they knew of a place? I personally don't know. There are a few members from the Florida area that may shed some light on your predicament. I wish you well and stop back to let us know how you're doing.

Thanks so much for the reply - yes, I did check with staff at detox facility but they did not know of anything. Thankyou for the "welcome", also.

I've made suggestions like this before. The local hospital, Social Services, local police dept, word of mouth at AA, NA, Alanon, Naranon, etc. meetings, or clergy. Somebody might know something. Doesn't hurt to ask.
Thanks again - in all honesty, I'm atheist and do not attend a 12 step program. The outpatient program I'll be attending is not based on the 12 steps either. I will continue looking, however, and perhaps I'll get a reply from someone.
