Next Step Foundation provides a safe and sober environment for men and women who struggle with drug and alcohol addiction. Next Step residents are able to give themselves a break and focus on a new way of life. We also provide special services such as Drivers license restoration, tax consulting, legal services, employment contacts and many more. Next Step also provides furnished continuing care apartments after completing a 4-6 month residency. We help people find the promises of recovery. Next Step Foundation recognizes the problems experienced by those who are addicted to other negative behaviors such as problem gambling. Our residents choose Next Step Recovery for Women because they want to continue working on their recovery in a safe, supportive and substance-free environment. Serenity Lodge is a recovery residence in which chemically dependent adult men can start to rebuild their lives while living in a secure, drug-free and supportive environment that will enhance their recovery process. Our purpose is to bridge the gap between intensive treatment and lasting, sober living. We provide a program that treats our residents with dignity and utilizes a 12-step program to guide them to a new way of life. A sense of fellowship, coupled with moral and character building challenges, promotes productive social interaction with other residents in a caring community.

Real Recovery is North Carolina's premier recovery home and treatment aftercare program. Our program is much more than a sober house or halfway house, offering personalized care to each client. With a maximum of 13 residents at a time, we maintain a resident to staff ratio of 4:1 at all times. We show young men how to have fun in sobriety, while developing structure and accountability. Our house has morning meditations, nightly wind downs, Sunday dinners, 12-step meetings, group counseling with a licensed therapist, job and academic support, and thorough random and frequent drug screens. Clients get the opportunity to experience frequent group activities such as extreme sports, camping trips, competitive sports teams, mountain climbing, hiking, and all that the mountains of North Carolina offer to a young man in recovery. One of the many benefits to a small house is that our clients are able to feel at home, develop, grow and bond into a brotherhood, while experiencing the reality of life on life's terms.
