Our goal is not to be a treatment center but help our resident’s transition from inpatient to independent living. With this in mind we are going to offer each resident a safe, healthy, sober and structured environment to implement daily living skills. (HPI) believes that the byproduct of working with a sponsor, working the steps, going to meetings and interacting with sober supports makes the rules that we enforce almost inconsequential. Our goal is to have a community where the life experiences of our residences can be an example to the others within our community, where they can build from each other’s recovery path. HPI is determined to be the best sober living community available, not just striving to exceed others, but genuinely basing (to the best of our abilities) our philosophies on the principles and the traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous. <u>Healing Properties Mission</u>:It is our mission to provide a safe, clean and healthy living environment for persons recovering from the disease of alcoholism/addiction. We require involvement in 12 step programs and provide random drug and alcohol testing. Hallway of Life Recovery Center is a sober living environment that provides a safe place for women to practice the skills necessary to maintain abstinence from substance use. Lotus Recovery Residence is organized around a single mission: to promote change and growth into a healthy lifestyle through structure, guidance and support. Harmony House is a three-quarter way or sober house for women located in Aventura (Miami), Florida. All clients are in recovery and involved in 12-step programs. The women live together in support of each other. There are no drugs or alcohol allowed on the premises and all clients must remain drug and alcohol free. All residents are required to attend NA or AA meetings and be active in their recovery. A house manager lives on the premises and clients are randomly tested for drug use. The house exists as a very positive and classical environment to stay clean and sober. We care and run a safe 3/4 way house and try to ensure the safety of our fellow clients by having guidelines and principled rules based in recovery.

Next Step Recovery is a nonprofit transitional living program for adult males who are recovering from substance abuse. We offer a safe, structured and supportive environment that builds on traditional treatment and 12-step programs. Real Recovery is North Carolina's premier recovery home and treatment aftercare program. Our program is much more than a sober house or halfway house, offering personalized care to each client. With a maximum of 13 residents at a time, we maintain a resident to staff ratio of 4:1 at all times. We show young men how to have fun in sobriety, while developing structure and accountability. Our house has morning meditations, nightly wind downs, Sunday dinners, 12-step meetings, group counseling with a licensed therapist, job and academic support, and thorough random and frequent drug screens. Clients get the opportunity to experience frequent group activities such as extreme sports, camping trips, competitive sports teams, mountain climbing, hiking, and all that the mountains of North Carolina offer to a young man in recovery. Our residents choose Next Step Recovery for Women because they want to continue working on their recovery in a safe, supportive and substance-free environment. Next Step Foundation provides a safe and sober environment for men and women who struggle with drug and alcohol addiction. Next Step residents are able to give themselves a break and focus on a new way of life. We also provide special services such as Drivers license restoration, tax consulting, legal services, employment contacts and many more. Next Step also provides furnished continuing care apartments after completing a 4-6 month residency. We help people find the promises of recovery. Next Step Foundation recognizes the problems experienced by those who are addicted to other negative behaviors such as problem gambling.
