The Beachcomber combines the structure and discipline of an intense therapeutic program with the resocialization and experience of sober fun. Change is what we are really about, and as the number of men and women who begin their sobriety at the Beachcomber grows into the thousands, we are more sure than ever that we are accomplishing what we set out to do. In our intimate environment, 16 clients interact with four full-time therapists. We offer Destination Therapy which gets away from the standard group therapy and explores an individual’s defects in different settings. We move clients toward all different types of activities outside the group setting and with staff they achieve long desired goals in a safe, sober atmosphere. We also invite the family into treatment to participate with their loved one. We have staff work with family members in accordance with the individual in treatment.
