Reclaiming Alcohol and Drug Addicted Men Through Christ and Christian Love-II Cor. 5:17
Penfield Christian Homes is a Christ-centered ministry for reclaiming the lives of adult men suffering from addiction to drugs and alcohol. Penfield has been in operation for over thirty years, helping approximately 900 men a year find freedom from addiction and live happy, productive lives through our unique, Christ-centered approach. Penfield is Christian, clinical, and twelve-step based. The men are taught to apply, through the power of Jesus Christ, Biblical principles are expressed in the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. At Penfield Christian Homes, these principles are referred to as Twelve Steps for Successful Christian Living. The ministry of Penfield is rooted in the belief that recovery from the addictive use of alcohol and drugs can be achieved through a personal faith in Jesus Christ. With three campuses in Georgia: Greene, Berrien, and Walker Counties; our program has met the standards established by the Georgia association of Recovery Residences (GARR), and is approved for the transitional housing offender re-entry program (THOR). Our curriculum features the following: Individual & Group Counseling, Bible Study, Drug and Alcohol Education, Relapse Prevention Counseling, Spiritual Guidance, Family Education and Counseling, Recreation & Work Activity, AA/NA Open Meetings, Overcomers Outreach Meetings, Celebrate Recovery Meetings, and Church Services.
