This program, like all other programs at Focus Healthcare, is individualized. You will start to engage in recovery activities in the community and continue attending 12-Step support groups, as well as obtaining a sponsor if you have not already done so. Issues of importance include: relapse prevention, building a personal support system, strengthening relationships and continued education about recovery. Destination Hope staff will assist and direct you and your family toward long term recovery. Destination Hope is a warm and intimate environment focused on the whole person and their family. The philosophy is that the treatment of chemical dependency is a disease and the facility is dedicated to utilizing several relapse prevention models to find long term recovery. We are proud to offer all the traditional approaches that work for those suffering from addictions but we also have creative approaches. We offer Destination Therapy which gets away from the standard group therapy and explores an individual’s defects in different settings. We move clients toward all different types of activities outside the group setting and with staff they achieve long desired goals in a safe, sober atmosphere. We also invite the family into treatment to participate with their loved one. We have staff work with family members in accordance with the individual in treatment. The result is a healthier family unit and long term recovery.
