Jeannie Saros, LMHC, CAP, C.Ht
Director of Training
Ms. Jeannie Saros was first introduced to the world of therapy and helping others through her mother, Susan Saros, The Director of The Gestalt Institute of Quebec.
Those years gave her the opportunity to participate in trainings by Virginia Satir, Laura Perls, and many more that came to train along side her mother or just come
to stay and visit for awhile. During that period of her life she completed intensive one year training in Gestalt therapy with the late Don Horne, but was not to use
those skills until many years later. In 1981, Ms Saros found herself at the doorstep
of others, looking for help from her own addiction which had taken her far from home ten years earlier. In was during those first few groups that she remember the path
that she had started years before alongside her mother. Since that day she has dedicated her life to working with others and furthering her education and training.
Ms. Saros became a Certified Addictions Professional in the early 1980s, and has worked at numerous centers locally. She has been in Private Practice since 2004
as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. In 2005 received national certification in clinical hypnotherapy. In 2006 became a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors.
