Treatment for this population varies within a “continuum of care”. Levels of care range from Most Restrictive, Locked Detox, to Outpatient Care in a Counselors Office. Often Residential Treatment is just a starting point. Most of these facilities are 12-Step Models with a faith based component. Length of stay is usually 1 to 3 months and longer. Patients are frequently referred to ongoing care along the continuum once treatment has been completed.
